NW scotland Gruinard Bay - Red Deer on the Beach

I was surprised to find these Red Deer strolling on the beach at Gruinard Bay during my visit in June 2016.

Scotland - Geese in Flight

Photographs taken in Scotland at the end of September last year.  Skeins of Geese were flying in south on a couple of occasions this day.  They were too far away or high to identify, although I suspect they were the native Grey Lag that frequent these parts or Pink Footed?

Above the clouds shrouding Beinn Ghobhlach taken from the far side of  Little Loch Broom above Badcaul.

Scotland - Gruinard Bay Sun and Showers

Scotland at the begining of June again.

Showers coming blowing across the North of Gruinard Bay with Gruinard Island (used for Anthrax testing in WW2) in the right foreground and the Summer Isles in the distance.

The shore of Gruinard Bay.  In bright sun the clear waters of the sea turns tourqoise above the bay's sandy bottom.  Unfortunately not enough sun today.
